One night a few months back, scrolling through my Instagram feed I came across the most beautiful ceremony site – a small stone grotto surrounded by vintage pews with a wide open country field as a backdrop. Immediately, I thought, this place has potential to be the next wedding venue in Prince Edward County. Christine and I connected shortly after to plan a styled shoot, and I quickly learned why they fell in love with Waupoos Island. As fate would have it, I’ve been staring at this venue for the past ten years, sitting on a muskoka chair at my parents home across the lake. The Camp at Waupoos Island has transformed over the past year, and I cannot wait to see the finished product at the end. It’s the perfect place for laid back couples looking for an authentic venue to host their family and friends – who wouldn’t want to whisk away their guests to a private island wedding!?
A special thanks to Christine, Rachel, Tessa & Jordan for pulling this shoot together. All my fingers and toes are crossed to hopefully have the chance to shoot at this one-of-a-kind location again!
